Baakens Valley
The Baakens Valley Cluster is situated within the Green Lung of the city, a historical landmark in NMB. This like-minded, sense of community cluster focuses on collaborative urban renewal projects and maintaining the rich history, fauna and flora of the Baakens River Valley area. Situated in the heart of NMB with companies such as Algoa FM, SA Canva and Remo’s, the area boasts access to the main arterial routes granting easy access to national, provincial and regional roads, fostering a strong sense of community and collaboration.
The Baakens Valley Cluster was established to create a collaborative platform for local businesses, addressing challenges collectively and driving growth in the area.
Over recent years, the cluster has revitalized the area, making it a hotspot for entertainment and hospitality. Key priorities include safety, cleanliness, and unlocking economic potential through collaborative efforts.
With an executive structure in place led by Chairperson Dante Cicognini, the cluster aims to work proactively with local stakeholders to enhance the region’s appeal for investment.
As part of their mission, the Chamber promotes resource sharing and unified strategies to tackle prevalent issues. Their ongoing partnership with the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality further strengthens efforts to create a thriving business environment.
